“Heart to Heart: Muslim Matrimonial Event” is Edmonton’s premier matrimonial event that attempts to give young Muslims the opportunity to meet others who are similarly looking for a spouse. In order to partake in this event all participants must: 

- Be between 18 and 40 years of age 

- Be a Canadian Citizen (exceptions can also be made for Permanent Residents or Landed Immigrants)

- Not be currently married (either according to Canadian Law or Islamic Law)

- Observe modest dress and behaviour during the event

Here’s how it works! 

Shortly after a person has registered they will be sent a profile form so they can describe a bit about themselves and what they are looking for in a spouse. This information will be shared with other participants at the event to help guide people on their search. 

On the day of the event, small groups of Sisters and Brothers will have the opportunity for face-to-face conversations moderated by a married Husband & Wife couple at each table. When time expires, the Brothers will move to the next table and a new conversation begins! A delicious buffet lunch will be served after everyone has had the opportunity to meet. During or after lunch a participant may be able to make further inquiries if they are interested in a particular person. If a match appears to be made, the Brother and Sister can exchange contact details and arrange for the next steps!
