An indoor futsal tournament for Brothers aged 15+

16 Teams, 5 on 5 with maximum 4 substitutes per team. Games will be 29 mins in length and a guarantee of 3 games for every team. There will be a $500 cash prize for the winning team, $250 for 2^nd place and $125 for 3^rd place!

16 teams will battle for supremacy on the futsal pitch. If you are looking for a friendly yet competitive tournament to test your skills, the Edmonton Classico Cup welcomes you! Players of all skill levels are welcome to join. However, to keep things balanced, a team should not have more than 1 varsity player. If you do not have a team, you can register as a free agent and will be allocated to a team. What is the refund policy?

• **Refunds will be allowed on or before February 14, 2025 but not after this date**

How can I register a team or as part of a team?

• When registering a new team,  please select “I am registering a new team.” On the check-out screen, please write your team name. When you select this option, it will count towards registering both your team and you as a player. You can add team mates by selecting "I am registering a player as part of an existing team." You do not need to submit registration for every one of your team members all at once. Instead, you can submit registration of some of your team mates, and more team mates can be added later. This can be done by yourself, or your team mate can register themselves as part of your team. To add more team mates to a team that has already been partially registered, select “I am registering a player as part of an existing team” and on the check-out screen please write the corresponding team name. EVERY MEMBER OF YOUR TEAM MUST BE REGISTERED AND SUBMIT PAYMENT BEFORE THE END OF FRIDAY FEBRUARY 21, 2025 OR THEY WILL BE INELIGIBLE TO PLAY. Once we have reached 16 teams, we will not be able to register more teams. If we have enough Free Agents, we will try to form an entire team of Free Agents. Otherwise, if there are not enough Free Agents to form a Free Agent team then prior to the tournament, Free Agents will be assigned to teams that do not have a full roster.
  
  

If I don’t have a team and would like to participate, how can I register as a Free Agent?

• When purchasing tickets, please select “I am registering as a Free Agent.” On the check-out screen, please list your team name as “Free Agent.” 
  
  

What is the structure of the tournament?

• The centre of the Universiade Pavilion will be divided into 4 fields. There will be 4 groups of 4 teams that will participate in a round-robin stage. All teams will be guaranteed to play a minimum of 3 games. TEAMS THAT ARRIVE MORE THAN 5 MINS LATE FOR THEIR MATCH OR FALL BELOW 5 PLAYERS ON THE FIELD WILL FORFEIT THEIR MATCH! The top 2 teams of each group will play a Quarter-Final match. The winners of the Quarter-Final matches will play a Semi-Final match, and those winners will play in the Grand Final. Games will be comprised of two 13 minute halves and a 3 minute half-time. Also, teams will have 15-30 minute breaks between each of their games. After the tournament concludes, sponsored prizes & trophies (from money that is separate from the registration fees collected) will be awarded to winning teams.
